Evesham United kick off their home campaign in the Southern League Premier South on Tuesday evening when Basingstoke Town are the visitors to the Spiers and Hartwell Stadium.
Both clubs recorded opening-day victories on Saturday, with the Robins getting off to a fantastic start with a dominant 3-1 win and performance at Weymouth in front of 1,020 spectators on the Dorset coast. Basingstoke logged a 2-0 success at home v Wimborne Town.
The Hampshire team have been boosted by the recent signing of journeyman striker Charlie Austin, and he wasted no time making an impact by converting a late penalty on his debut.
The largely new look Evesham defensive unit looked very well organised on Saturday, and this home curtain raiser will be another early test and should be a highly competitive fixture with a large and vocal crowd anticipated.
