Match Report: Evesham United Women 1-0 Bromsgrove Sporting Ladies FC

Sunday 11th October 2026 – West Midlands Women’s Regional League Division One South

Evesham Utd Women welcomed Bromsgrove Sporting Ladies to The Spiers & Hartwell Stadium on Sunday in this West Midlands Regional League Division One South fixture.

With Tallulah Brown and Beattie Jutel unavailable, Isla Campbell injured, and Ella Parkinson with the u18’s, Manager Mark Taylor was able to bring in Ria Salleh and Kyra Bostock back into defence, with Natalie Sewell and Freya Bostock resuming their roles in attack; new signing Ellie Nash made the bench.

It was an even start, with Evesham threatening from a couple of corners and Bromsgrove trying their luck from distance. It was the home side that took control, with Saff Boswell and Sewell combining well, with the latter having a shot well saved by the keeper.

Soon after, Yaz Gachette won the ball in midfield before finding Freya Bostock, but the visitors’ keeper did well to block two efforts. A Boswell shot resulted in a corner which Captain Chopper Pitts headed narrowly wide from Tresigne’s cross. Jess Kenny hit the post with an outstanding effort before the visitors had a goal disallowed for a clear offside.

Evesham eventually took the lead after a shot from Boswell on the right was split by the visiting keeper, only for F. Bostock to be on hand to blast the ball home from close range. The visitors finished the half strongly, but chances were limited as The Robins went in at the break 1-0 up.

The second half started with Bromsgrove searching for an equaliser, but the excellent Salleh, Pitts, Kyra Bostock and Liv Tresigne were organised and solid at the back.

When Bromsgrove did get an opportunity at goal, Syd McKenzie was on hand to keep the ball out. With Sporting pushing further forward, gaps were beginning to show; Evesham tried to exploit this, but F. Bostock and Tamzin Hayward could only go close.

Changes were made with Nash and Bea Harding coming on, both seeing themselves in good areas but unable to add a finish when well placed as the game played itself out and Evesham came away with a hard-fought 1-0 win and a first clean sheet of the season.

Player of the Match was Ria Salleh

Evesham travel to Inkberrow Eagles Ladies on Sunday 18/10/26 in the Worcestershire County Cup KO 2 pm.
