Match Report: Evesham United Women 6-1 Redditch United FC Women

Sunday 13th September 2026 – West Midlands Women’s Regional League Division One South

On a mild yet drizzly Sunday afternoon, Evesham Utd Women welcomed Redditch United Women for this West Midlands Regional Division One South fixture.

Tallulah Brown came in at Right Back, Tamzin Hayward returned to midfield, with Ria Salleh continuing to deputise for the suspended Kyra Bostock at Centre Back.

The visitors started the stronger with a shot flashing just wide, but Evesham had a great chance themselves when Saff Boswell put Natalie Sewell through, but her shot was saved by the keeper.

The play was end-to-end before the hosts took control of proceedings when Freya Bostock had a shot very well saved at the near post before she dispossessed a defender to make it 1-0.

Further chances came and went before Boswell battled through the defence to make it 2-0, then Sewell’s pace and tenacity made it 3-0. Sewell then scored again at the near post to make it 4-0 as Evesham were running riot.

Early substitute Isla Campbell, who came on for the injured Salleh, picked up a loose ball and smashed it high into the goal to make it 5-0. Boswell made it six, coolly slotting home for an incredible 6-0 HT scoreline.

Redditch came out determined to get back into the game in the second half with plenty of good possession. A goal did come for the visitors, a strike directly from a corner with Evesham unable to keep it out.

Evesham did have a few chances, with lovely play from Campbell and Boswell putting through F. Bostock, whose shot was blocked, but the visitors really upped their intensity as Captain Chopper Pitts was forced into a last-ditch header which went behind off the bar.

Play was getting very bitty, and as the game wore on, a few yellow cards were dished out, with two sin bins for Redditch; the stop-start nature of the game was beginning to spoil it. Despite this, the hosts still had chances through Boswell, Hayward and Sewell, but the game finished 6-1, and a cracking 3 points were gained.

The whole team deserve the Player of the Match accolade, but Tallulah Brown took the eventual award.

There’s no game scheduled this weekend due to Alvechurch’s continued involvement in the FA Cup, so Evesham’s next fixture is at home to Long Itchington Women on 27.09.26 KO 2 pm.
