Pitching In Southern League Premier South

Evesham United welcome Plymouth Parkway to the Spiers & Hartwell Stadium on Saturday for a crucial game in the battle to help secure membership of Southern League Premier South.

The visitors from Devon moved up to 15th place on Tuesday evening, leapfrogging the Robins after an impressive 3–1 home victory over Chertsey Town.

Evesham are without a win in four games; a run which has dragged them into the periphery of the relegation battle. They now sit just two points clear of Hungerford in 19th spot, albeit with games in hand and a vastly superior goal difference.

Mike Ford’s side were narrowly beaten in the reverse fixture at Bolitho Park back in November, conceding the only goal in the third minute. They will be eager to gain revenge this weekend while taking a significant step back toward mid-table safety.

A strong crowd is expected with a lively atmosphere anticipated for what promises to be a high-stakes encounter.
