We are thrilled to share some exciting news with you! Evesham United is delighted to announce the appointment of Stewart Peters as Head of Girls Development for the Youth Section.
Stewart joins us from Gotherington Juniors, a club with which we’ve enjoyed a successful partnership over the past three years. He now takes responsibility for overseeing the development of 12 EUFC girls’ teams, 10 of which will transition to Evesham United from Gotherington Juniors.
Stewart brings with him a dynamic team of twenty experienced coaches to support our girls’ football program, covering ages from under 7s right through to under 18s.
As Head of Girls Development, Stewart will lead the establishment of our Girls Development Centre, manage day-to-day activities within the girls’ youth section, and spearhead recruitment efforts. His vision includes sustaining our existing teams, creating new ones over time, and nurturing a culture of excellence.
Stewart will also play a pivotal role in supporting coaches, setting and upholding high standards of behaviour among coaches, players, and parents, as well as contributing to the Coach Forum and planning regular coach meetings, training sessions, and related activities.
Stewart holds a UEFA C Diploma and brings a decade of grassroots coaching experience. He shared his enthusiasm for this new opportunity, stating, “This is a unique opportunity to establish and sustain girls’ football at Evesham United for years to come. We built a strong culture at Gotherington, and a strong reputation for developing girls in football, and this is a very exciting time to develop that even further with a club that matches our ambition.”
Please join us in welcoming Stewart and his coaching team to Evesham United. We look forward to seeing the positive impact and innovation he brings to our club, inspiring both coaches and players alike.
