Taunton Town vs Evesham United

Pitching In Southern League Premier South
Evesham United head south to Somerset on Saturday for the final game of this season’s SLPS campaign, where everything will be on the line against Taunton Town at the Cygnet Health Care Stadium.
The Robins currently occupy 19th position on 46 points and must better the result of Weymouth, who sit just one point ahead. With a superior goal difference, any slip-up from the Dorset Terras — who face a long trip to Hertfordshire to take on play-off hopefuls Berkhamsted — would open the door to a dramatic final-day escape for Evesham. Both Yate and Hanwell Town are still not safe and remain in the equation should they lose and Mike Ford`s team were to secure victory by a bigger margin.
The Peacocks secured their Step 3 status on Monday evening thanks to an impressive 1-0 victory over high-flying Farnham, moving four points clear of the Robins and taking themselves out of danger.
A huge travelling contingent of loyal Evesham supporters is expected to make the journey down the M5 to back the Robins in what is likely to be one of the most climactic final day fixtures in the club’s history.
