PREVIEW: Poole Town vs Evesham United
Saturday 3rd October 2026 – Southern League Premier South Division
Evesham United will make the long journey to Dorset for their next Southern League Premier South game on Saturday, where they will face Poole Town at the Tatnam Ground.
The Dolphins are on a three-game winning run and will be in a confident mood, having climbed to fifth on 15 points in the early league standings. Their latest success came impressively on Tuesday evening, recovering from a half-time deficit to secure a 3-1 comeback victory away at Chertsey Town.
Evesham have also found their stride again, bouncing back strongly from their FA Cup exit at Redditch by despatching Stratford in the FA Trophy before following it up with a highly professional win against Chippenham Town at the Spiers and Hartwell Stadium on Tuesday. Mike Ford’s Robins have now climbed to eighth in the league, with two SLPS fixtures still to be played on Wednesday, having amassed 13 points.
Last season’s meetings produced two entertaining 1-1 draws, and with both sides enjoying positive starts to the campaign, Saturday’s encounter has all the ingredients for another compelling contest.
