Evesham United vs Berkhamsted
Saturday 12th September 2026 – Southern League Premier Division South
Evesham United welcome Berkhamsted FC, the “Comrades” from Hertfordshire, to the Spiers and Hartwell Stadium on Saturday, with both sides looking to build on their recent run of improved results.
They resume league action after away cup successes last Saturday, with Berkhamsted winning at Bishops Stortford and the Robins beating Belper Town.
Both teams sit on nine points in the league with identical win and loss records. Berkhamsted are two places above Evesham on goal difference.
Berkhamsted, like the Robins, are in their second season at this level, both having been promoted in the 2024/25 season from their respective lower divisions.
Last season, the Comrades made the play-offs but lost narrowly to eventual winners Farnham Town, although they did record a league double over the Robins. 2-0 at Evesham and 3-1 at their Broadwater home ground.
The Robins will be looking to avenge last season’s 0-2 reverse at the hands of the Comrades, and they will also be keen to improve their overall home record this season. This reads as two defeats out of three, with just one win against Chichester City. This stands in contrast to their impressive record on the road. An intriguing tussle awaits.
