New Senior Performance Manager
Sunday 08th February 2026

The Club is pleased to welcome Darren Morson, who will be performing an exciting new role as Senior Performance Manager. Darren is originally from Builth Wells in Wales, but has been based in Bewdley, Worcestershire, for the last 17 years. For the past 6 years, Darren has been involved in elite-level sport with Rugby League at club and international level.

Darren was the team manager for the Welsh Men’s National Rugby League team and Head of Rugby for North Wales Crusaders. The highlight for Wales was being involved in the last Rugby League World Cup in 2022. At club level, the Crusaders were crowned Betfred League One champions for 2025, but with long travel commitments along with his day job, Darren has decided it is the right time to bow out of professional rugby league.

Darren has commented, “I am really excited to be joining Evesham United as Senior Performance Manager, and I am looking forward to bringing the skills I’ve developed in elite sport to the Club. After meeting the 1st team Manager Mike Ford, Chairman Ged Bearcroft and the Head of Development Colin Maskery, I can see the passion and ambitions they have for the club and from those meetings I really wanted to get involved and to support the club in helping to meet those ambitions.”

The Club wishes Darren every success in his new role with the support and initiatives he will be bringing to the 1st team and, with time, other senior teams.
