Robins drew 3-3 away at Swindon Supermarine on Saturday with a much improved performance following three defeats this pre-season, against Cheltenham Town and Pershore Town 3-0 and 2-1 against Redditch United. We have also had two 1-1 draws against Stratford Town and Sporting Club Inkberrow FC.
Supermarine took the lead from Holland (4 minutes), and that lead was soon doubled by Williams 15 minutes, the signs didn’t seem good. However, Reegan Messenger pulled one back just before the half-hour mark 26 minutes before Alfie Dunn grabbed an equaliser on 29 minutes.
Five minutes into the second half Holland with his second put the hosts back in front on 50 minutes. The Robins didn’t give up, Will Owens equalised in the 88th minute to end the pre-season matches all square.
Saturday afternoon sees the magic of the FA Cup return to the Spires and Hartwell Stadium with the visit of Newcastle Town. The Emirates FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round all gets underway at KO 15:00.
